Theme and Story:

The theme of this film is our good old tale of struggle of a police inspector against many adversities of life and villainous characters. Yet, it appears to be an old wine in a new bottle. The makers of this film have made it a comedy based action movie. The film moves-on frame after frame, showing excellent shots of fights and actions with interludes of some comic and emotional scenes in between.

The movie has dealt with many negative aspects and characters of our society and the defective system of governance in our country. It has covered, corruption in politics and in government offices, criminalization of politicians, and dowry system in society and has portrayed poverty in rural India.

Dabangg Review :

This film has excellent direction, action, fights, Cinematography and editing that are the lifeline of this film based on which it has created records on the box office. Many action scenes have been shot with high grade of precision and latest technology.

I recollected the action scenes filmed in Krish on seeing the shots that showed Salman Khan holding hand of Sonu Sud, swinging him right in front of a moving train… and evading head-on collision with the engine by a whisker. The another scene that could be compared with that of Krish and which I still remember is that of the glass tiles flying past in the air and Salman Khan leaning back on his heels protecting his head from the burst of the fast moving projectiles. I assure you that you will be left spellbound with all these action shots and hi-tech fight scenes inDabang.

Salman khan has portrayed a rustic, arrogant and corrupt police officer with the rank of Assistant Sub Inspector. His acting and dialogue delivery appeared to be monotonous, yet, interesting and reminded the presence ofSalman Khan with his dedicated mannerisms. His body appeared to be extremely tough and strong and all the actions and fights shot on him looked quite natural. Nevertheless, I think his body should have exhibited much more flexibility, reflexes and speed.

I think that the makers might have removed some pieces of the movie for making it much faster. All through the film, I kept feeling that at some places the scenes could have been prolonged a little bit more. I also think that the early life of the hero Chulbul Pandey and his childhood life could have been shown on screen. That would have helped the viewers to understand the real reasons for the hero having so very much disrespect for his stepfather.

Anyways, It is a must see movie that will prove to be worth spending the time and money on it.
